                                                         Senior Spotlight

                                                         By: Cyndal Harris

Avryl Crouse has been in many things throughout her high school career. She’s been in softball, track, FBLA, NHS, STUCO, and theater. Her four years at DeKalb High School have been busy. Although her time here has been busy, she remains kind, spontaneous, funny, and outgoing. She was able to give up some of her busy time for an interview.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?

  • “I don’t know what career path I want. Definitely getting a Golden Retriever because I love them.”

Which event did you look forward to the most? Did it live up to your expectations?

  • “I’m excited for my senior trip because we’re going zip-lining. It hasn’t happened yet, but I really hope it lives up to my expectations.”

What has been your most challenging activity?

  • The most challenging activity was the very first semester of senior year, because there was so much going on with scholarships, track and things like that

What are three words that best describes your senior year?

  • “Fast, tiring, and exciting”

How do you hope to be remembered?

  • “I just want people to think I was friendly and involved.”

Which subject do you think prepared you the most for life after high school? Why?

  • “Definitely Language Arts, because reading and writing is important, and you’ll use all throughout your life.”
