Over ten years has passed since the tragedy at Freddy’s, who was owned by Henry, Charlie’s father. Charlotte or “Charlie” has been invited back to her childhood town to the ceremony of the loss of Michael, her childhood friend. She will be seeing her old friends she hasn’t seen in ten years. As the friends go to a restaurant, after the ceremony, they start talking about the tragic loss of their dear friend and other missing children. These friends then decide to solve this long lost mystery and get tangled into something they’ll soon regret.

This is Cawthon’s first book in a series from his top rated horror video game Five Nights at Freddy’s. This game is nothing like the books. Yes, it contains the same animatronics and parts of the plot from the game but it has its own altered version. In the game your objective is to survive until 6AM, and keep the animatronics out of your office at all costs. The main animatronics are Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Fox. All these animatronics are inside the book, even an extra character from the third game anmed Springtrap. Springtrap shows up as the antagonist, who soon causes trouble for the teens in later books.

In the third game your put into a location called Fazbear's Fright The Horror Attraction. In this attraction, it’s only occupied by one animatronic, unlike the other games. But in the video game there are other characters; they’re called The Phantoms. The Phantoms are animatronics from past locations, but they can’t hurt you; they just taunt and get you off guard from Springtrap. Springtrap is the main character, or main horror attraction, of this establishment. He is also one of the main antagonists in the books. Springtrap is an animatronic rabbit tinted in green moss or mildew, extremely matted and torn suit, and a human corpse in the inside.

The games and books stem from the rise of technology. In these books and games the creator of the animatronics is making the robots to entertain and make people happy. But an unethical person the creator was working with made them into something they weren’t intended to be. The animatronics didn’t used to have a mind of their own they used to be just machines. After the unethical person pust corpses into the animatronics, and the souls got binded to the

I suggest this book, because I feel people who enjoy the horror and mystery will really enjoy this. What got me engrossed in the series was I had to take pieces of different parts from past information and piece it into what is currently happening. I enjoy the mystery solving aspect of the story, which I believe others will enjoy as well.
