Upon graduating college, I taught four years in Illinois parochial schools. In 2003, my grandfather passed away and I left teaching to work for the family business. I missed teaching and coaching and was offered a job in Western Mo. My wife, Jen, our two then young sons, Ty and Logan, and I made the move to Missouri. Jen and I have both taught in Missouri schools since 2006. We currently live just a few miles south and east of DeKalb. I am looking forward to meeting the students, the staff, and the community. I grew up in Winchester, IL, which is a small rural town that valued and respected community involvement, hard work, pride, tradition, and high expectations from the school system, just like the DeKalb community. When I am not at school, I try to enjoy country life on our UTV, hunt, make home-made maple syrup, and socialize with neighbors that pop-in. I am excited to be joining the “Tiger Community” and look forward to contributing to the continued success of the school district.
