Students in Spanish 1 and 2 class have been celebrating Day of the Dead this week by building ofrendas, which are altars that honor those who have passed away. They each picked a celebrity or family member to honor.

The middle school Careers class studied careers in Manufacturing last week. They put their manufacturing skills to the test by assembling Lego cars! Each student was assigned a role within the building process and it was a race to see which team could assemble their car (correctly) the fastest!🏎️ They finished off the unit by assembling some spooky dirt cake treats as a team.😍
The FBLA Chapter had a great time Trick or Eating throughout DeKalb tonight. Thank you to everybody that donated and participated tonight! We collected over 100 items to stock the community Blessing Boxes!🖤

DeKalb FFA received a grant for a school project. The Nursery class pulled weeds and planted a variety of perennials in front of the school. Good work guys!

The Tiger Pride Band had a busy day. They started with the annual Haunted Hustle 5K and finished with a great performance in the Atchison Halloween Parade.
Kasey Steiner ran a heck of a XC race in today's bitter weather. He advances to state with a qualifying time of 20:10. Proud day to be a tiger!
