DeKalb FFA grew by 14 members this week. We held the Greenhand FFA Induction Ceremony and welcomed 14 new students into our FFA chapter. Excited to see what their future holds!
FFA members also participated in our annual fall party which included the 12th annual DeKalb pumpkin carving competition. This competition gets better every year! Greenhands also painted their hands green to put their handprint into this year's chapter scrapbook.

The 2nd grade celebrated apples today in honor of John Chapman aka Johnny Appleseed! Our curriculum centered around apples w/ math place value, ELA with a poem & story elements, phonics w/ orchard digraphs, apple research w/ Mystery Science, an apple treat, and a visit from Johnny himself, aka Ms. Reddick! Happy Apple Day!🍎

Varsity softball gets a big win tonight against Stewartsville 12-5. Lady Tigers are now 5-0 in conference and 7-7 overall

The 5/6th grade Scholar Bowl team traveled to NE Nodaway tonight where they won all 4 of their matches! Next Tuesday we are in St. Joseph for our final meet @ St.Paul. Please come & join us if you can , the meet begins @ 4:30. Way to go TIGERS!
The Jr. High Softball team made a trip to West Platte and came home with two wins. First game was 5-3, second game ended 7-4. Great job ladies!!
