All art classes made Christmas ornaments last week. They turned out great!
For the past week, the 8th grade Careers class explored career opportunities in STEM. The students became engineers to design and construct bridges using different types of materials. They then tested the strength of the bridges by seeing how much weight could be held before the bridges fell. Bridges were composed of paper and paper clips, straws and tape, and popsicle sticks and rubber bands. The strongest bridge held close to 15 pounds before falling!
DHS Lady Tigers beat Osborn-Stewartsville 46-23! Go Tigers!
Animal Science class has been learning about animal genetics and heritability. Students enjoyed creating "Spudoodles" as a way to work with Punnett Squares in order to see how genes and traits are passed from generation to generation!
There will be no JV basketball games this Thursday.
